Dear GAA Parents

We salute the UAE as we celebrate the 49^th anniversary of the union that marked the beginning of a blessed march toward progress and development

On this day, we remember the founders of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, his companion the late Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum and their brothers the rulers, who all met on 2nd December 1971, armed with their deep belief in their country and deep interest in the people. This led the birth of the United Arab Emirates and the onset of the country’s renaissance.

Due to the COVID restrictions and the precautions that we are following this year, we will not be able to offer the same activities and plans that we do every year. This year we will give our students the opportunity to honor the UAE National day throughout different activities, competitions, and discussions while they are at home or at school.

We would like all KG and Elementary students to wear either the UAE traditional dress or the colors of the UAE Flag to celebrate this special occasion on 25^th and 26th of November while they are at school or at home, while Secondary students can only wear the UAE Traditional dress on 26^th November.

It is advised that families do not bring any gifts or tokens of celebration for distribution to ensure that we are maintain our health and safety precautions.

السّادة أولياء الأمور الكرام،

تحيّة طيبة وبعد،،،

بمناسبةِ الاحتفال باليوم الوطني لدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، يوم اتّحادها العظيم.

يطيبُ لنَا أنْ نرْفَعَ أسمى آياتِ التّهاني والتّبريكات لسموّ رئيس الدّولة الشّيخ خليفة بن زايد آل نهيَّان ونائِبِه وإخوانِه حُكّام الإمارات ووليِّ عهده الأمين. راجين من المولى عزّ وجل أن يديم الأمن والأمان والصّحة والعافية علينا أجمعين.

تعودنا أن نحتفل بيوم الاتحاد العظيم احتفالاً مهرجانيًّا كل عام، ولكن هذا العام فُرضت علينا ظروف وشروط احترازية تعيق تجمعنا للاحتفال معًا وذلك لكي نتأكد من الصحة والسّلامة لطلابنا وللجميع.

وبالرغم من أن كل الظّروف إلا أننا سوف نحتفل هذا العام بطرق مختلفة، سيحتفل طلاب مدرسة أكاديميّة جيمس الأمريكيّة باليوم الوطني التاسع والأربعين لدولة الإمارات العربيّة المتحدة يومي الأربعاء والخميس الموافق ٢٥و ٢٦ من نوفمبر ٢٠٢٠ م للمرحلة الابتدائية، ويوم الخميس فقط للمرحلة الثّانوية.

كما ندعو طلاب المدرسة لارتداء الزّي الوطني فقط للمرحلة الثّانويّة، وألوان العلم أو الزّي الوطني للمرحلة الابتدائيّة تعبيرًا عن حبهم وفخرهم لدولة الإمارات العربيّة، بالإضافة إلى القيام بالعديد من الأنشطة الصّفيّة والمسابقات التّعليميّة الّتي تُجسّد أهميّة هذا اليوم، وتربط قيمة الانتماء بالمنهج المدرسي من خلال ربط المواد التّعليميّة بالهُويّة الوطنيّة وتعزيزها.

نرجو من أولياء الأمور عدم إرسال الهدايا، الحلوى، أو المأكولات إلى المدرسة وذلك حرصًا وتطبيقًا منّا لشروط الصّحة والسّلامة لطلابنا.

أدام الله الأفراح والخير لهذا الوطن، ولكم منّا كل الشّكر والتّقدير.

وأزال عن بلادنا الجائحة وأتمّ علينا الصّحة والعافيّة.
