Reflection

Words could never express how grateful I was for the opportunity to study and teach abroad in Germany. I made some amazing lifelong friends and was inspired by many of the teachers in the school. The Anne-Frank Gymnasium has made such a positive impact on my life and I am very excited to bring some skills that I have learned back to the United States. I really enjoyed seeing how teachers in the English classes really make the learning environment comfortable for all students. One thing that is so important in any classroom is that all students feel welcomed and safe and I have learned some techniques that I would like to incorporate in my classroom. Along with teaching styles and introdcuing new content in unique ways. I was able to participate in a debate that was taken place and this could be done in the states with older grades. I overall really enjoyed this experience and am so excited to bring back what I have learned while being in Germany.
