Comparing Irish Education to US Education 

School Day Hours: 8:30-3:30

Curriculum: The students learned science, math, english, social studies, and a special. 

Non-educational activities: The students have access to Girls with Pearls, Beta, archery, STLP, Choir, Strings, and Robotics.

In each classroom there are about 25-30 students. There are about 4 classrooms for each grade level, K-6. 

The students switched for each subject and went to their designated teacher for their certain subjects. 

In a school this size the teachers typically only really know the students in their classes. 

School Day Hours: 8:50-2:30

Curriculum: The students learn science, math, Irish, english, social studies, and a special. 

Non-education activities: The students have access to Cross-country, Gaelic Football, Hurling, Swimming, and Irish Dancing. 

In each classroom there are about 10-15 students. There are about 3 classroom total for K-6 year. There were 2 grades in each classroom.

The students stayed in the same class all day. 

At Murrisk the teachers know every student, their siblings, and their parents.
