Serena Stefani

Biography

Serena Stefani is a PhD student at the Department of Psychology and Cognitive Sciences, University of Trento. Her main research interests concern the social psychology of inequalities. Her PhD project concerns educational inequality, and specifically the role of cultural norms and educational functions of the university on the students' sense of fit to higher education. She previously did her post-graduate traineeship at the Department of Psychology of the University of Bologna, where she worked on gender inequality and gender ideology. She graduated in 2018 from the University of Padova, and her MA Thesis was about the psychosocial determinants of income inequality and redistribution policies. Outside the university work, she is committed to advocating pro-environmental, sustainable, and ecological practices and policies.
