Daniela Ruzzante

Biography

Daniela Ruzzante is a research assistant at the Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science of the University of Trento. She studies the phenomena of sexual objectification and dehumanization using a variety of experimental techniques (e.g., EEG, implicit measures, eye-tracking, and EMG). In particular her primary focus is mind perception, a process that describes our ability or motivation to see or infer other people's mental states and that is able to explain both why we objectify and dehumanize someone. In her early career she managed to publish in a high-impact journal, present at various national and international conferences and obtain an award for an innovative research project (Geis memorial award funding research in the Psychology of Women).
