Script is one key component of Samahang Pilipino Cultural Night, embracing the art of theater and performance. Through storytelling, Script provides a platform to share our unique experiences as Pilipinx-Americans, bringing our narratives to life on stage.

Yay! Here's what you need to do:

Read through the Character Descriptions.
Choose the role(s) that resonate the most with you.
Look through the monologues and songs listed on the Audition Material page and pick the options that best showcase your strengths.
Film your Self-Tape, following the instructions given on the Audition Material page.
Complete and submit an Audition Form, accompanied by your Self-Tape!
Look out for an email for information on in-person Callbacks!

hi everyone!! i'm so honored to be one of your script coordinators this year. i'm a second-year double-majoring in english and labor studies. i'm passionate about immigration law, access and retention in higher education, and Pilipinx culture. all of these elements are embedded in our script, and we hope to bring your passions on our stage as well!

Hi Everyone, I am JC Toringan, a fourth-year at UCLA, and I am a student filmmaker with extensive experience in directing, narrative production, and community programming. Due to my writing background in both theater and film, I have written for many productions and two different Filipino Cultural Nights.Â
My involvement in this year's SPCN shows my love for collaborative environments and my desire to uplift community and culture. I am excited to work with y'all and am committed to making SPCN 50 the most fun production it can be!
