Ariana dreams of more than the ship. Andres wants more than to work in the field. Their stories intertwine in a story of love, legacy, and a fight for their people that spans years, countries, and generations.
Our story about one family’s journey throughout the events of World War II (WWII) in the Philippines and the farmworkers’ strike in the U.S. during the 1950s and 1960s. Following the interweaving narratives of Ariana and her son Andres, the script uses a lens of poverty and generational trauma to explore the intersection of guerilla warfare and imperialism during WWII and the convergence of labor, race, and activism in America.
An original musical written & directed by Stephanie Olvido and JC Toringan.

Being apart of Script cast will require you to regularly attend rehearsals in order to ensure the success of the production. We need the coordinators and the cast to be respectful of each other's time and effort, and therefore conflicts will need to be limited. If you foresee attendance being an issue for any reason, we advise you to look for other opportunities to get involved with SPCN and Samahang Pilipino.
