Equipment Rentals

We offer the following equipment to rent for 1-7 days:

Zoom audio recorder
Canon flatbed scanner
Byron Statics audiocassette player
USB audio digitization stick
Studio monitor headphones

Rental Guidelines

Please email us at islibrary@seis.ucla.edu with all of the following information:

Your full name
Equipment you wish to rent (refer to items below)
Start and end dates of rental period from 1 - 7 days.
Time of pickup

**Important: The last day of your rental period must fall on a weekday. Equipment must be returned to a staff member before closing that day (please refer to our Open Hours at the bottom of this page). Thank you for helping us to stay organized!

Zoom H4n Pro

The Zoom H4n Pro is a professional-quality sound recorder ideal for voice-over, podcasting, interviews, and oral history projects. This highly portable device may be attached to a camera tripod for hands-free recording. Its simple interface welcomes all levels of audio experience.

CanoScan 9000F Scanner

The Canon CanoScan 9000F is ideal for scanning documents, photographs, and film trasparencies. The perfect balance between size and portability. May be used in conjunction with the IS Library's film holders.

ByronStatics Cassette Player

The ByronStatics audiocassette player is simple, convenient, and portable. With a built-in speaker, headphone jack, and clip, this device is ideal for easy listening on the go. May be used in conjunction with a USB audio capture stick to digitize your favorite recordings on audio cassette.

DigitNow USB Stick

The DigitNow USB Audio Capture stick offers a simple way to digitize your favorite recordings on audio cassette or grooved media. Use this cord to connect your computer's digital audio workstation to an audio cassette player or record player. May be used in conjunction with a USB to USB C adapter.

Studio Monitors

Need a pair of high-quality headphones for work or school projects? The Sennheiser HD 650s and AKG K240s will give you crisp, detailed sound for music listening and audio editing.
