Home to state-of-the-art audiovisual transfer equipment and software, the IS Media Preservation Lab is where Information Studies students learn to identify, inspect, digitize, describe, preserve, and provide access to a wide variety of analog media formats. The Media Preservation Lab fosters a spirit of communal learning, mutual support, and appreciation for the media archival professions.
The IS Media Preservation Lab is available for IS student use for individual and group work.
Reservations are required
Schedule up to 3-hours of back-to-back appointments per workstation per day
Lab staff are available to assist you as needed during your reservation time
