If you are closed out of a course that fulfills a specific academic requirement which
cannot be met by another course offered during the semester abroad AND
which you must take this semester in order to stay on track for graduation
You should document this need by requesting your home college submit the Academic Need Verification Form. We will make every effort to meet your confirmed academic need.

You will have an opportunity to make changes to your registration in Strasbourg after classes start.
You will receive an academic calendar for your semester abroad, posted for all students in Blackboard, that includes dates and deadlines that differ from main campus and between the Center and Special Programs in Strasbourg.
We suggest that you discuss any potential changes with your advisor before making them.
SU students will continue to receive emails for main campus which can be confusing, especially when it comes to academic dates and deadlines. Remember to follow the information provided by the Strasbourg Center and reach out if you have any questions!
KEEP IN MIND:
All classes have an enrollment cap; you will only be able to add classes on a space available basis. Do not contact professors to request that they add you to their course!
If there is a full class you hope to add, you should discuss your interest with staff at the Strasbourg Center once you are abroad and check-in frequently throughout the schedule adjustment period in case a seat opens up.
You must maintain a registration of at least 12 credits, including a French class and CAS200 Mapping Strasbourg
Study of French language is a program requirement.
Note that your FRE registration level will be assessed and confirmed during your first days/weeks abroad.
All students will have the opportunity to speak French with staff and faculty during Orientation. If it's suggested that an adjustment be made to the FRE class level during the first week of classes, you and your academic advisor (or home college/university for visiting students) will be a part of adjusting class registration at that time.
