Welcome to Syracuse University's Madrid program. This site will walk you through the process of pre-selecting courses for your semester in Spain. 

Here are your action items and key dates:

1. Review:

• Program requirements

  • • Signature seminars info

    • Spanish language requirement

• Schedule of Classes

• Timetable (to avoid time conflicts)

• Course descriptions

• Student Advising Form (SAF) Instructions (PDF)

2. Choose:

• First-choice courses + several alternative courses (in case first choices are not available).

3. Complete and submit: 

•  Student Advising Form (SAF) with your course pre-selections by October 11. You'll be emailed a PDF of form. 

4. Share:

• PDF of your SAF with your academic advisor(s). In the space provided, note how each course counts in your degree program.  

5. Upload:

• • SAF with approved courses to your OrangeAbroad application by October 18.  

  • Visiting students: Your home school may not pre-approve courses. Regardless, we ask that you upload your SAF, indicating that your school does not sign off on courses in advance.

6. Review:

•  Registration Instructions and your registration appointment date (coming to OrangeAbroad later this month).

7. Register online November 8 - 14.
