Special Permission Courses
Special Permission Courses:
In order to register for any of the courses below, you will need special permission from Syracuse Abroad. To be considered for enrollment, you must meet these requirements:
List the course among your Primary Course Selections on your Course Preference Form (CPF); these courses can be found under [SP], indicating Special Permission.
Submit your CPF questionnaire by the May 1 deadline.
Availability is limited and decisions will be determined by student major or academic need. You will be notified by email in late May if you receive permission to register for any of the courses below.
Studio Arts courses:
If you have not been admitted to the Studio Arts (SA) program, you may request only one studio arts course on your Course Preference Form. Enrollment is subject to availability; if you are given a spot in your preferred studio course, you will be emailed in advance of online registration.
Non-Studio Arts Program students requesting an intermediate or advanced level studio course should be prepared to demonstrate their ability through samples of their work or evidence of prior coursework. Samples of this work will be reviewed once you're in Florence.
Wake Forest Business courses:
If you have not been admitted to the "Florence Center: Wake Forest Business Program", you may request one of the following courses on your Course Preference Form*.
MAR 301 - Essentials of Marketing (either section)
MGT 346 - Organizational Behavior (either section)
*SU Whitman majors or Wake Forest students not admitted to the "Florence Center: Wake Forest Business Program" are not permitted to enroll in these courses.
Note: SCM 300 (either section) is reserved only for Wake Forest Business students.
This University of Florence course affords Syracuse Florence (SUF) students an exciting opportunity to study alongside Italian undergraduates. The class is taught in English on the SUF campus and follows the SUF calendar.
Maximum enrollment is 15.
Enrollment priority to Economics and International Relations majors.
Students must attend a mandatory meeting during orientation (more information available in the Orientation Booklet you receive when you arrive in Florence).
