Field study course offered during the semester
Students will be required to attend two overnight weekend trips, in addition to a few ad hoc activities in London and complete follow-up assignments.
In "Green Britain", students will travel to Cardiff and Cornwall to examine environmental policy and science. Field studies for GEO/PSC300 will take place on the weekends of 29-31 August and 12-14 September, required to earn credit for this class.
Notes:
Architecture students may enroll, despite the Friday overlap with ARC561, as the courses will support learning in the Survey course and field studies professors will coordinate with the Architecture faculty.
This course is during the semester so does count toward the 12-credit enrollment minimum for the London Center.
The first intensive weekend of this course runs in parallel with London Center Orientation; students enrolled in GEO/PSC300.2 will attend their class weekend in lieu of Center programming. Housing and academic orientation will conclude in London on 31 August, allowing students to participate in "Green Britain" without missing important content.
