KID2005: Special Education for Young Children

Semester: Fall 2026

This course examines the significance, background, and objectives of early childhood intervention for infants and young children with disabilities or developmental delays. It explores the comprehensive theories of Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE), including diagnostic and assessment procedures, as well as specialized instructional methods across key developmental domains such as cognition, communication, gross and fine motor skills, social-emotional development, and self-care skills. Additionally, the course addresses strategies for family support and empowerment.

KID3027: Education for Parents of Exceptional Children

Semester: Fall 2025

This course examine the support needs of the ‘family’, the most important environment for people with disabilities, and acquire the principles and methods of supporting families of people with disabilities, and cultivate the qualities of special education experts who will work with families of people with disabilities

KID3098: Intro to children with disabilities

Semester: Spring 2025, 2026

This course provides a survey of current knowledge on individuals with disabilities within the context of human growth and development across the lifespan. Content includes historical factors, legislation, etiology, characteristics, needs, educational strategies, including existing and emerging technologies, assessment, and support services of/for individuals with disabilities ranging from mild, moderate to severe levels of varying disabilities.

KID5213: 특수교육연구

Semester: Fall 2026

본 강좌는 특수교육 현장의 복잡한 현상을 과학적으로 규명하고, 증거기반 실제(Evidence-Based Practice)를 구축하기 위한 대학원 수준의 심화 연구 역량 강화를 목적으로 합니다. 특히 개별 학생의 행동 변화와 중재 효과를 정밀하게 분석할 수 있는 단일대상연구(Single-Subject Research Design)의 설계 및 시각적 분석 기법을 깊이 있게 다룹니다. 이에 더해, 양적 데이터와 질적 심층 이해를 통합하여 연구의 외적 타당도와 현장 적합성을 동시에 확보하는 혼합연구방법(Mixed-Methods Research)에 대한 방법론적 고찰을 진행합니다. 최종적으로는 실제 교육 현장에 적용 가능한 중재연구(Intervention Research)의 설계와 실행 과정을 실습함으로써, 이론적 지식을 현장의 변화를 이끌어내는 실천적 연구 결과로 전환할 수 있는 전문 연구자로서의 자질을 함양하고자 합니다.

KID5212: 장애인가족지원연구

Semester: Spring 2026

본 강좌는 장애학생의 가족을 이해하고, 각 가족의 강점, 특성, 문화와 가치관, 필요에 맞는 가족중심 지원을 제공할 수 있는 특수교육 전문가로서의 자질을 함양한다. 더불어 장애인 가족지원 분야의 연구 동향과 쟁점을 이해한다.

KID5208: 아동특수교육세미나

Semester: Fall 2025

본 강좌는 특수교육에서도 유아특수교육의 개념과 실제를 이해하고 최근의 연구 동향을 학습하여 영유아를 위한 조기개입 및 유아를 위한 유아특수교육 분야에서의 교육 및 연구 전문가로서 갖추어야 할 기본적인 자질을 함양한다.

KID5183: 장애아동의 이해

Semester: Spring 2025

본 강좌는 장애아동의 이해에 있어서도 발달장애 즉 지적장애(intellectual disabilities; ID)와 자폐 범주성 장애(autism spectrum disorders; ASD) 관련 연구 및 전문 지식, 지원 방법을 습득하기 위한 강좌로 발달장애 아동의 전반적인 특성에 대한 이해와 더불어 이를 기반으로 하는 과학적 근거기반의 교육 방법론 학습에 중점을 둔다.
