因為在全國性的考試，所有考生都會希望自己可以考上理想的學校，因此文昌祠會在大考前舉辦祈福法會來祝福考生們考試順利 ! 法師會親自進行祈福儀式。

Because in the national exam, all candidates hope that they can get into their ideal school,therefore, Wenchang Temple will hold a blessing ceremony before the exam to wish candidates a smooth exam! The Master personally performs the blessing ceremony.

參加者需要帶蔥（象徵「聰明、芹菜（象徵「努力念書study hard」）、菜頭（象徵「好彩頭，意思是good luck」）考生回家後需要將祈福過的衣物放在枕頭下， 並將在這邊拿到的米與家裡的米混合後煮來吃， 祭拜用各種蔬菜也要一起吃下。

  Those who pray for having good performance on the exam will prepare for these offerings, such as green onions which symbolize cleverness, celery which represents studying hard, and vegetable heads which means good luck on their exams. After worshiping, exam-takers will put the blessed clothes under their pillows, mix the rice they get from the temple with the rice at home. They will cook them with vegetables they served to God, and then eat them up.
