歷史

新莊文昌祠是一間主奉文昌帝君的廟宇，創建於1875年，是一座擁有百年歷史的廟。 19世紀末期，當時的新莊已經從早期的移墾社區， 轉型貿易樞紐；此時仕紳開始注重文化教育及科舉功名，所以在此興建文昌祠，以祈求學業有成和文化智慧的保佑。

     Xin Zhuang Wen Chang Temple, founded in 1875, is a historic temple dedicated to Wen Chang Di Jun, the God of Literature.In the late 19th century,Xin Zhuang transformed from an early agricultural community to a trade hub. Therefore, more and more upper class put an emphasis on culture, education and personal achievement.They built this temple here to pray for academic achievement and cultural wisdom.
