Why "twenty" is our magic number

2020 has been a year of complete surprise, distraught, and uncertainty, but aside from the negatives, it has brought our larger community together through the use of protest, social media, and advocacy. Why stop here?

Helping HAWKS is working to bring this community together by advocating, teaching, and supporting shelters as well as individuals who want to help. We are a source in which individuals can donate funds, clothes, food, and/or toiletries that will be sent to Crossroads Shelter Rhode Island. We hope to help many more shelters gather the necessary resources for individuals in the future. "Twenty" is the magic number for all of us; a community that came together and now has the opportunity to donate to help one another!

So why is “twenty” the new magic number? Besides the fact that 2020 has been the year of smaller communities coming together for the greater causes, “twenty” represents helping a family through Helping HAWKS.

With only $20, Helping HAWKS can donate a care package for a family of four as well as donate $5 towards necessary supplies and critical services. With only $20, each care package will be filled with items to accommodate a family. In addition, we will prepare "women's" care packages on the side with feminine products.

"Twenty"...the magic number for our community to come together to help one another.
