Metric measurement allows scientist all over the world trade, compare, and share data.  The metric system, also known as the International System of Units (SI), is used by most countries because it's easy to use and has many advantages.  It keeps data consistent.  It has conversions based on ten making it easier to calculate between bigger and smaller units.
