This is my character, Atlas, that I designed in 2019 for a story that I was planning on writing. I decided to do a more detailed reference sheet in the form of internal schematics during my free time over the summer. I enjoy theorizing how mechanics piece together and how they might function in this type of setting.

This demonstrates some of my processes when sketching and creating references for characters. When deciding on colour schemes, I will sometimes roughly block them out (bottom left) to see if I like them enough to fully render them. This image can also be seen on my homepage as I was using the sketch as a reference for a model I was working on. His colour scheme is vaguely based on some snakes and salamanders.
Still a work in progress.

Full design of my spirit with finalized mask
My original mask idea
No mask
We recovered a memory that showed that one of his horns was broken off
In one of my recent campaigns, I played a Kalashtar Cleric. This character has a spirit intertwined with them, which I detailed above. I went through a couple of iterations for how his mask and face would look like based on feedback from my dungeon master to have him fit into the world. I have also used this to exhibit changes to his character from the events of the story, such as the broken horn.

I created this race as a part of a Dungeon and Dragon character backstory for a space-based campaign. Though they were extinct by the time of the campaign, I began to write a collection of historical and scientific information about them from the perspective of a researcher in the game - hence the anatomical diagram. I was experimenting with multiple designs for multiple 'classes' which would take up different roles in their society.
