Pre-UIL State Assessment and Performance

Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Berkner HS 

This performance is REQUIRED for all Symphonic and Concert Band students in preparation for our UIL State Assessment at the end of March. Students will wear their RISD-issued uniform for this performance Below are the Pre-UIL times for Symphonic and Concert Band students. Families are invited to join us for our Pre-UIL State Assessment!

Arrive at Berkner, in your RISD issued Concert Attire. You will enter through Door #48 (located on east side of HS building off St. Johns St.) and proceed to your “Assemble” area to uncase your instrument.

Concert Band

• Call Time 5:00 PM

• Warm-Up 5:30 PM

• Stage Performance 6:00 PM

• Sight-Reading 6:30 PM

Symphonic Band

• Call Time 6:30 PM

• Warm-Up 7:00 PM

• Stage Performance 7:30 PM

• Sight-Reading 8:00 PM

FAMILIES: You are welcome to follow the students from their stage performance, up the auditorium stage stairs and into the orchestra room to watch sight-reading! We will have family chairs set up around the room for you to watch!
