Acceleration
This program provides students with an opportunity to obtain a .5 credit for Health, Government, or Economics or one credit for High School PE or Art. Programming is outside of the traditional school day, resulting in extra time during the academic year for other classes. Information on Online Acceleration Courses is linked here.
Evening School
Students from any RISD secondary school can enroll in the RISD Evening School Program. It provides an opportunity for students to earn credits that can be used toward graduation. A student may enroll in a maximum of two classes each semester. Information concerning registration and course choices is on the brochure linked here.
Summer School
RISD summer school programming serves students and the community through engaging experiences that inspire and enrich the whole child. These programs will allow students to explore their interests and gain valuable experience to add to their resumes. Dual Credit Summer School
Richardson ISD and Dallas College offer dual credit courses with waived tuition, allowing students to earn high school and college credit. The interest flyer is linked here. Enrollment will depend on interest, availability, and counselor approval. Interested students must complete the Dual Credit Summer Interest Form.
