Week of May 26

Hello and welcome to Week 6 of in-home Science learning! If we were at school this would have been the week of the 2nd grade field trip to the Pacific Science Center. This has always been a fun day where kids get to explore the many exhibits the Pacific Science Center has to offer. Each teacher has their favorite exhibit:

Mrs. Coldren - the naked mole rat exhibit

Mrs. Hamilton - the butterfly exhibit

Mrs. Miner - the tide pool exhibit

Mrs. Gaw - the sneeze machine exhibit

Mrs. Harrington - the dinosaur exhibit

Mrs. Ubaldo - the butterfly exhibit!

You may not be able to see our favorite exhibits, but do take some time and explore the PSC site. It has a lot of amazing in-home learning opportunities for our young scientists!

Even though we did not get to go on our field trip this year, below is a link for you and your family to click to explore the Pacific Science Center's Curiosity at Home! If you scroll down the whole page you will find amazing live streaming videos, things you can build, live web cams and much much more. Take a peek and when you are done, write down your favorite part and let your teacher know what your favorite exhibit was - we look forward to hearing from you!
