Happy Summer Vacation!

We can’t believe it, but we made it! Amazing job 2nd graders and parents for finishing up the school year learning at home – we are so proud of your hard work and determination.

There is a new tab on our site! It is “important standards”. Under this tab you’ll find the key learning standards that we feel are essential to your child’s learning success. This site will be up all summer long and you can reference back to it as you need. If you weren’t able to get to all the activities during the year – try them out during the summer. We will not be posting up new activities. However, please visit the previous week’s activities.

In your child’s bag with all their belongings from school, you will find 2 important workbooks. One is a Summer Reading workbook and one is a Summer Math workbook. There is more information under the “important standards” tab that explains how to use these resources efficiently and effectively.

As we look back, we have made such wonderful memories we will cherish forever. From the first day jitters to the uncertainty of leaving in March to ending in a virtual in-home learning, we have weathered a storm together!

We found this poem that sums up how much we truly care for each and every one of you!

Each of you are very special to us and we want you to know,

how much we loved being your teacher and how fast the year did go.

Please come back to visit us, as through the years you’ll grow.

Try hard to learn all you can., there will be so much to know!

The thing we tried to teach you, to last your whole life through,

is to know that you are special just because you are YOU!

We wish a very happy summer vacation with your family. May each day you feel the warmth of the sunshine on your face and remember we are thinking of you often and hope you are doing well. Have fun and enjoy your summer 😊

With love,
