Each year, the Naturalists society runs a competition for QE students with significant cash prizes available (three prizes). The competition involves taking a photograph related to particular themes found in nature. In previous years, QE Geographers have won by taking photographs of their surroundings whilst on their residential fieldwork in Wasdale.
QE Geography has links with Employer Champions, whose firms offer opportunities for students to take part in work placements. QE students have visited Kielder reservoir in Northumberland with the Environment Agency and we are growing our links with employers all the time. This year, some QE Geographers will undertake RTPI accredited work experience with a local planning firm. See the Careers, HE & Work Experience tab for more details.
