Hello, my name is Olivia Hudson and I’m currently in Grade 11. My goal this year for my STRIVE project is to explore how I can use content creation to develop an engaging and appealing platform that encourages new and current readers to join my community and find new and diverse books to love. I’ve always been an avid reader, and in 2021 I created an Instagram account called @literary.olivia  where I can share my love of reading with others. It brought me to a new phase of my reading journey, and I was exposed to diverse books which helped me further develop my reading taste. After building this community, I would not like my platform to grow stagnant because there’s no purpose behind it. I would like to continue my reading journey by bringing more people along for the ride, giving them an opportunity to develop their reading taste and find a home in reading like I have. My name is Victoria Morissette and I'm in grade 9. For my first Strive project I chose to do photography. My grandpa started teaching me when I was 9 and since then my skills have improved a great amount. In the past few years I've been trying to capture my kittens in their natural habitat (playing around outside with the other kittens) and I definitely underestimated how hard it would actually be. They are so active and always moving around. It takes a lot of patience that I've had to learn over the years. As much as you try to make it perfect it's not always going to come out how you thought but I love capturing small moments that mean a lot to me and will keep capturing them no matter how long it will take. One day I hope to be able to capture special moments for others too. I will be learning more about light settings, safety around my camera and the areas I'm in, camera techniques in the early days, and so much more! I hope to restart my instagram page to share what I learn and see with the world.
