Personal Project 1 - This project features a water color painting of Jimin from BTS, a Kpop boyband. This is made in light pastel colors to match with the theme of one of their songs, "Spring Day," which incorporates many light and spring time colors. Watercolor paints are used on the painting as a whole and it is outlined with color pencils. This was done on watercolor paper that is 11x12 inches. Afterwards, the lighting and contrast was adjusted and it was outlined with the paintbrush tool on Adobe Photoshop in order to give it more emphasis. This was made as an art piece I will give to a friend who is also a fan of BTS for her birthday and also as a tribute to Jimin from BTS.
Personal Project 2 - This project was made as a title for a bulletin board that Ms. Beaman will have in her class for her business and communications class for their 20% project. I made a small airplane using shapes from Adobe illustrator and by using the paintbrush tool. Then I used a blank image of a banner to put the title "20% Project" inside so that it looks like the airplanes that fly around with banners advertising things. I had the image printed out on a 24x40 paper, which Ms. Beaman placed up on one of her walls. I also made titles for ACT and Business Academy so that they can have separate bulletin boards by using Adobe photoshop for the different fonts and by having a mouse arrow by the ACT title to represent the technology aspect of the academy and a pen by the Business Academy title to represent the business aspect of the academy.
VAPA Logo - This project is a logo for the program VAPA (Visual And Performing Arts). This project was done digitally on Adobe Photoshop with the paintbrush tool, edited pictures, and the word art tool. It features paint strokes in the shape of a heart with paint splatters inside and a paintbrush outside of the paint strokes in order to represent the artistic qualities of the program. I placed a few music notes that get smaller in size as they go up the paint stroke in order to represent the musical and theatrical aspects of the program. Lastly the acronym for the program, VAPA, is placed right in the center of the paint strokes.
Graduation Art Project- This design features a cougar made using the paint brush tool on adobe photoshop. In the background there are teal and black paint splashes to represent the school colors and there are two cougar paws to represent the school mascot, the cougar. Again this was all done on adobe photoshop and was made as a project to be potentially used on this years graduation pamphlet.
Scholarship Project- This project was made as part of a contests for an ACT scholarship. It is suppose to show the message of "Challenging the Status Quo." For my project I decided to make a painting using acrylic paint on canvas. It depicts a boy dressed in bright, colorful clothing who throws a baseball at the window of a storefront that is decorated in ads for conforming to societal norms and therefore the status quo. This way the boy is literally breaking/challenging the status quo.
CTE-Project- This is a logo for Career Technical Education for MVUSD. The MVUSD logo is used in the back and on top of it is a wrench to represent technical education. I chose blue and shades of gray as the colors to represent CTE because anytime I think of technical education, I think of tools, which remind me of the color gray.
