Providing Site Support

In general, Professional Development Specialists are assigned to one or more sites four days a week. While at their school sites, their job is to coach and support teachers. That may be coaching during planning, while analyzing data, demonstrating strategies and techniques and then discussing, or coaching and supporting teachers as they work on their own growth goals. Sometimes it is planning and presenting trainings for their sites, but also afterwards coaching the teachers as they implement the items presented in the training.
