Why Scholastic Esports?
Four MVUSD students were tasked with developing a film about a fictional student (they named her "Shy Bella") getting involved with esports. Later, they discuss how they made the film. Players from all twelve MVUSD middle and high schools converged at March Mountain High to battle it out in our first-ever Esports tournament. The final epic battle pitted Valley View HS against Moreno Valley HS, with the latter emerging victorious, 3 games to 2. Winning teams and players received trophies, gaming backpacks, and Nintendo gift cards. It was a blast! For most students, this was the first time they had ever participated in a district-sponsored event.
