PROF. EILENE ANTOINETTE G. NARVAEZ

Prof. Eilene Antoinette G. Narvaez is an editor, translator, and educator of the Filipino Language. She is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Filipino and Literature of the Philippines at UP Diliman. She finished her Bachelor of Arts in Araling Pilipino and Master of Arts in Language at UP Diliman and is currently finishing her Doctorate Degree in Translation at the same university. She is an active member of Katipunan para sa Kultura at Kasaysayan (KKK 2022) and Filipinas Institute of translation (FIT). She also serves as Associate Dean in Research, Creative Works, and Publication of the College of Arts and Literature, UP Diliman. During the pandemic, translating the terminologies related to COVID-19 became her major work which had a collaboration with Google Philippines to release the ‘Diksyunaryong COVID-19’ containing more than 200 words with Cebuano translation.
