DR. RODNEY C. JUBILADO
Dr. Rodney C. Jubilado holds the degree of PhD in Theoretical Linguistics from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and MA in Linguistics from the University of the Philippines -Diliman. Dr. Jubilado is a tenured faculty and the Chair Professor of the Department of Languages and of the Filipino Studies at University of Hawaii, Hilo, Hawaii, USA. He speaks Bahasa Malaysia, English, Spanish, Filipino, Cebuano, Isamal, and reads Greek and Latin. His research and scholarly inquiry revolve around the social sciences and the humanities: heritage studies, theoretical linguistics, migration studies, cultural anthropology, Southeast Asian Studies, among others. He has spoken in various conferences in countries like Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, the Philippines, the United States of America, to name a few. His professional affiliations include the Linguistic Society of America, American Association for Applied Linguistics, American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, Hawaii TESOL, Association for Asian Studies, Asian Studies on the Pacific Coast (president-elect), Linguistic Society of the Philippines (Director of Conferences), New Zealand Linguistic Society, Southeast Asian Linguistic Society, among others. He has published various research articles in international peer-reviewed journals and in Routledge.
