Iligan City National High School (ICNHS) serves as a vital educational institution for students from low- to middle-income families. It stands at the center of Iligan City’s efforts to provide accessible secondary education. Open and inclusive to all residents regardless of race, religion, or economic background, ICNHS is the largest public high school in the city, committed to meeting the educational needs of its diverse student population.
Recognized as one of the oldest and most respected schools in Iligan, ICNHS has played a significant role in shaping the careers of many successful professionals both within and beyond the city. Despite the economic challenges faced by the community over the years, the school has continued to thrive and provide quality education.
To accommodate its growing student body, the school operates on a two-shift system (morning and afternoon sessions) and has established extension campuses in Barangay Pala-o and Tambacan, Iligan City. Currently, ICNHS successfully runs three specialized programs: the Special Science Curriculum (SSC), the Special Program for Sports (SPS), and the Alternative Learning System (ALS).
