To our fitness spot for Mt. View Elementary in Kenai, Alaska. The goal of this spot is to give my student's and their families a helping hand in remaining physically active while we are away from our regularly scheduled time in the Mt. View gym. I will provide ideas, activities, and a bank of information to keep you off the couch and moving throughout your day. There will be new question boxes for you to answer every few days to help us keep in touch and let me know what you have been up to. You will also be able to see how the answers of your classmates compare to yours-which will be fun. So check in AT LEAST once daily to click on the question boxes and load up on ideas to make your day fun and physically active. Then put down the screen and get moving! There is also a comment box provided so you can always message me if you would like. MT. VIEW EAGLES-"Having fun, getting stronger." - Coach Brand
Even when we are coming to school everyday it is recommended for kids your age to play AT LEAST 60 minutes every day. That's 1 hour! Without being in school every day and doing great things like PE or recess, it may be hard for you to get your 60 minutes in. I want you all to think about the time you spend playing games that involve moving your body. Can you play hard for 60 minutes today? Everyday? Here is a link from the NFL that may be able to give you some help too.
