Welcome to 6th grade!

I am Mrs. Medina, your new 6th grade math teacher, and I am so excited to meet you! I hope you had an enjoyable summer and are ready for new learning, new adventures, and new friends. I am originally from Dayton, OH, but I call the beach my home. This is my 20th year teaching, but my first year in middle school. I attended CCU for my Bachelor ('02) and Master degrees ('08) in Elementary Education. Later, I obtained my 2nd Master’s in Leadership & Administration from Grand Canyon University (‘14). Currently, I am back on my stomping grounds at CCU in the Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment PhD program. Go Chants!!! I am married to a local musician. We have one son, who is a rising 6th grader, and a sweet pup. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching football, and traveling to new places.
