Car-rider Information: To ensure everyone's safety, students may not be dropped off or picked up in the staff parking lot. All cars must proceed through the car-rider loop.
(A.M. Procedures) Doors open to students at 7:30 am.
(P.M. Procedures) Dismissal begins at 3:25 pm. Parents are asked to pull as far forward as possible in the loading area of the car-rider loop. This allows us to load as many cars as possible at a time. Students are asked to watch for their car to enter the loading area and meet their car where it stops. If your student misses you and the loading area begins to move, please drive to the blue handicap spots in the parking lot so that your student can meet you there. This allows the car-rider progression to continue.
Contact Information: Communication with teachers is vital to the success of student academic achievement, especially during these challenging times. Never hesitate to reach out to your student's teachers with any questions or concerns. Their email addresses can be found in Powerschool by clicking on your child's teacher.
PowerSchool Access: PowerSchool provides a Parent Portal to give you access to your child’s grades and attendance daily, the ability to email teachers, and to register your student online each school year. After completion of your initial new student registration, Mrs. Clara Clurry, Data Quality Clerk, will assist new parents/guardians with setting up their Parent PowerSchool Access. If you have any questions or need assistance, please email Mrs. Clara Curry at ccurry@horrycountyschools.net.
Technology: Mr. Michael Hawthorne our Technology Support Assistant, is in charge of devices at AMS. He will assign devices to students and is available to help with any technical issues throughout the school year. Her email address is mhawthorne@horrycountyschools.net.
