Technology

With the Governor's recent decision for all public schools in the State of Washington to be online, it is essential that all of our students have access to technology. Below is information from the Highline School District's web page that lists detailed information for accessing internet services.

GET INTERNET ACCESS

Free or Low-Cost Internet

COMCAST

Comcast is offering its Internet Essentials program free to new, qualified customers for 60 days. All new customers will receive a free self-install kit that includes a cable modem and WiFi router. There is no term contract. To sign up, applicants can visit the Internet Essentials website, which includes the option to video chat with customer service agents in American Sign Language. Or call 1-855-846-8376 for English and 1-855-765-6995 for Spanish.

BURIEN

Thank you to the City of Burien for directing some of its federal CARES Act funding to help Burien families without adequate internet access get connected with Comcast for free internet for 12 months. Schools are working with our Department of Technology Services to connect Burien families by October 9 who qualify (approved for free and reduced-price meals or attending a Community Eligibility Provision school).
