The 24-Hour Crisis Line provides immediate help to individuals, families, and friends of people in emotional crisis. We can help you determine if you or your loved one needs professional consultation and we can link you to the appropriate services. We are a primary source for linking Seattle-King County residents to emergency mental health services.

Phone workers are professionally trained to talk to a caller about whatever is on their mind: relationships, mental health, abuse and other emotional concerns.

Crisis Connections can also help to provide links to :

This Washington-based service is staffed by teen volunteers who receive 60 hours of training and often have experienced mental health issues themselves. The peer-to-peer connections make young people feel more comfortable sharing their concerns. The service can connect teens to local resources as well. Call 1-866-TEENLINK (833-6546) to talk by phone from 6-10 p.m. nightly or text from 6-9:30 p.m. every night. WA Recovery Help Line 866-789-1511

Washington Recovery Help Line is an anonymous and confidential help line that provides crisis intervention and referral services for Washington State residents. Professionally trained volunteers and staff are available to provide emotional support 24 hours a day, and offer local treatment resources for substance abuse, problem gambling and mental health as well as to other community services.

Times of crisis, particularly when people are in close quarters, can lead to an increase in domestic abuse. Resources are available 24/7, and domestic violence programs across our state are working tirelessly to help people plan for their safety. If you need help with issues stemming from domestic abuse, you can connect via phone, web chat or Facetime. You are not alone. Here are local and national resources:

  • The local Domestic Abuse Women's Network (DAWN) is still fully serving the community during the coronavirus closures. DAWN provides legal, family, mental health, emergency shelter and community advocacy services. You can call their support line for more information or access resources: (425) 565-7867.

  • The National Domestic Violence Hotline operates 24 hours every day, (800) 799-7233 or (800) 787-3224 (TTY). If you are unable to speak safely, you can log on to thehotline.org or text LOVEIS to 22522.

  • If you are in an emergency situation, please call 911.

Report Suspected Child Abuse or Neglect: 1-866-ENDHARM

Call this toll-free number if you suspect that a child or vulnerable adult is being abused or neglected. The operator will connect you with the right DSHS office to make your report. If you are calling about an immediate life-threatening emergency, call 911. Report Abuse and Neglect.
