Community healing spaces

Research shows that 3 in 5 Americans feel lonely. MHA created a platform specifically designed to help this current need. When people have strong social relationships, they are 50% more likely to live longer! MHA’s I Am Not Alone site focuses on building meaningful relationships. We are an online digital community, created to help people build genuine connections and combat feelings of loneliness.

Melanin & Mental Health® was born out of a desire to connect individuals with culturally competent clinicians committed to serving the mental health needs of Black & Latinx/Hispanic communities. We are committed to promoting the growth and healing of our communities through our website, online directory, and monthly events.

*currently no online directory for this area, but there are other resources, podcasts, and events.

Yellow banner with words The Nap Ministry, Rest is Liberation.

The Nap Ministry was founded in 2016 by Tricia Hersey and is an organization that examines the liberating power of naps. We engage with the power of performance art, site-specific installations, and community organizing to install sacred and safe spaces for the community to rest together. We facilitate immersive workshops and curate performance art that examines rest as a radical tool for community healing. We believe rest is a form of resistance and name sleep deprivation as a racial and social justice issue.
