Audition Process: 

Students & parents/guardians will check-in at the HCISD Performing Arts Center (PAC) anytime between 5-7:00pm, fill out a registration form, and wait in the lobby. Auditions will be held in the order of arrival, and students may leave after their audition is completed. 

For the audition, sudents will stand infront of a director and sing a few guided vocal exercises AND any song of their choice (songs learned in music class are preferred, ex: "Rocky Mountain", "'Liza Jane", "Are You Sleeping?", etc...). Parents/guarians are welcome to come into the audition room but are encouraged to wait to the side until their student is finished.

Results from the audition will be emailed. 

Please note: In order to participate in the Hays CISD Honor Choir, students must: 

- be actively enrolled in HCISD 4th-6th grade (you do NOT need to be in your home campus' choir!)

- complete the audition process

- commit to attending rehearsals and performances 

- represent Hays CISD in the best way possible
