Dance
Offered through a weekly class time, students practice traditional and modern dance with movement and stretching. Dance provides a creative and active environment for our students. Students who take dance regularly have been shown to improve in math, reading, life skills and following instructions. Our goal for the dance program this year is for all students to know introductory dance skills in a variety of styles, to provide a creative outlet and to begin to introduce intermediate-level skills. In the spring semester, we will introduce end of year dances and focus on mastery of steps and memorization of routines with independence. * Due to Covid precautions dance classes are currently taught via zoom and prerecorded lessons.
