Fine Arts Focus

Students are offered fine arts opportunities through enrichment classes and whole school programs. Fine arts opportunities are also woven into the core subject areas through projects and teaching strategies.

Dance: Students practice traditional and modern dance with stretching and movement for a brain break.

BAM- Body and Mind Classes- allows students to practice strengthening poses and methods for clearing their minds and focusing on challenges in a positive way.

Theatre- Students visit with Texas State Theatre majors, visiting theatre teachers, and use strategies in classroom activities.

Clubs: Students are encouraged to choose an after school club matching their interests, several of our clubs are fine arts opportunities.

Student Newspaper, Galaxy Gazette- Students are invited to join 4th and 5th grade staff reporters in covering news on campus, interviews, poetry, and original art and comic strips.
