BAM
In the Body and Mind class (BAM), students practice postures and stretches to relieve stress, anxiety, and fear, while taking in calmness and joy. Students have learned how to cope with stressful situations by using deep, long breaths to stay calm. They are learning how to trust and respect one another by practicing community and partner postures. Students will be learning how to focus inward, not on negative surroundings. They will also learn how to be kind to themselves and each other. These social-emotional skills, coupled with mindful stretching, help them to grow into caring citizens of the community.
