Hispanic Heritage Month (9/15-10/15) - While we celebrate Hispanic and Latino communities beyond this month, from September 15 to October 15 we give extra recognition to the many contributions made to the history and culture of the United States, including important advocacy work, vibrant art, popular and traditional foods, and much more. There is an alternate lunch schedule for Grandparents' lunch ( See below)
Grandparents may only have lunch with their own grandchildren
Siblings may not be pulled from their classes to join another sibling's lunch
We kindly ask that you adhere to the lunch schedule
If students will be checked out for the day after lunch, please ensure the grandparent is listed on the pick up list.
School aged children may not attend luncheons as they should be in attendance at their own school.
Adults do not have to purchase a meal for yourself to have lunch.
An outside lunch may be brought in.
Student prices are different than adult prices. If you would like to purchase a pizza lunch for your student, you may do so through the cafeteria line.

American Indian Heritage Month (November 1-30) - America is a vast land of many cultures dating back thousands of years to the original inhabitants of the land. The history and heritage of Native Americans, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and Island communities are part of all national parks today. Throughout the year, and especially during November during Native American Heritage Month, we celebrate together the rich traditions, languages, and contributions of Indigenous people.

Get ready to add some color to your summer, one book at a time! The Kyle Public Library invites readers of all ages to join our Summer of Color Reading Challenge. From babies to adults, everyone is encouraged to read for 45 days over the summer. Track your progress using our colorful reading log and earn a completion certificate and a chance to win awesome grand prizes!
But that’s not all, each week we’ll celebrate a different color with themed crafts, exciting guest performers, and interactive programs. Whether you’re joining a STEAM lab, catching a science show, or exploring the stars in a mobile planetarium, there’s something for everyone.
