My Payments Plus

Sign Off on School Documents!

Parents, did you sign up for a My Payments Plus account? We really need every parent to have an account.

While you can use My Payments Plus to make payments, what we really need is for each of you to log on and sign off on beginning of the year school documents! Get in there today and get everything signed off. We really appreciate it.

Parent Portal

Do you need to see your child's grades? Attendance habits? Fines? Books checked out?

Parent Portal is your solution. Come to the school, fill out an application, and get logged in.

Free/Reduced Lunch

Have you applied for free or reduced lunches, yet?

You need to make this application every year. We encourage you to make application even if you didn't qualify last year. Requirements and home circumstances often change, it may be that you qualify this year.

Agendas:

All Summerour students need to ensure they have agendas to write down assignments as well as to use for hall passes. Agendas are on sale for $3 and may be purchased via MPP or through the homeroom teacher. Agendas also contain the SMS student handbook.


Dress Code:

As a reminder, our Dress Code from our student handbook:

Thank you, Parents, for your continued support of the Summerour mandatory school uniform policy. Please see requirements below:

· Solid color, collared shirts only (no multi-colored shirts)

· Colors: white, navy blue, light blue, or grey

· Shirts must be long enough to be tucked easily into shorts or pants

· Pants, shorts, or skirts must be in appropriate size and length

· Pant, short or skirt colors: khaki, navy, black (must be worn at the hips or waist)

· No rips, tears, or frayed pants or jeans on designated non-uniform days

· No sweatpants, yoga pants, leggings, or jeggings

· Shoes must be a neutral color (white, black, brown)

· No flip flops, slippers or slides

· Head coverings may not be worn in the building, unless approved by the principal. This includes hoods and scarves.

· Coats and hoodies worn in the building during the school day must be in school colors (white, navy blue, light blue, or grey). Remember, hoodies and coats are seasonal and should not be worn to school during warm weather.

What happens if I wear something that does not meet dress code?

You may call your parent/guardian to come and bring you a change of clothes. If there are continued dress code violations, administrative consequences will be given to the student.

6th Grade

Our 6th graders are had an amazing second week of school! Teachers are passing out "blue bucks" to their students as they see modeling how to be a Respectful, Responsible Role Model. We are calling our 6th graders our "superheroes" - they are showing us their amazing superpowers in the classroom!

7th graders have finished their first week of in-person learning. We are off to a great start.

8th Grade

8th graders are definitely taking their ROLE MODEL "job" seriously. They are showing the younger students what it means to be a Summerour Blue Devil.


This year our theme is "Your Year To Shine". This year students will be recognized on our "Shining Bright Lightbulbs" for exhibiting our 3 Rs- Respectful, Responsible, and Role Models. These Shining Bright Lightbulbs will be posted throughout our 8th grade hallways.

The first standardized test of the year is always the CogAT test, administered only to 8th graders. This year's window is from September 27 to October 15. Exact dates will be determined and advertised in advance.

1st Semester Interims

September 27 - October 15

The mid-semester learning checks (interims) will be conducted from September 27 through October 15, also. Exact dates will be forthcoming as we approach the testing window.
