Having a career and being a working adult may seem like it is very far away. It is important to think about interests, likes/dislikes, and future now so you can make sure you are preparing for the future that you want.
Success does not happen overnight.
Thinking about what you want to do as a career now, also gives you a lot of time to explore many different options.

For the 2025-26 school year, Gwinnett county will be using a new platform to deliver career lessons. SchooLinks is the new college and career readiness platform. See the image below for an overview of SchooLinks.
In the 7th grade, students will complete the Find Your Career Path lesson on the SchooLinks platform. In this lesson students will complete an assessment, identify three career clusters that are a match for them based on their interests/character traits, and have the opportunity to explore different career paths.
The SchooLinks platform offers a lot for students to explore outside of their required lesson. Check it out! Students can access SchooLinks by logging in to their student portal and looking under "Additional Resources."
