Having a career and being a working adult may seem like it is very far away. It is important to think about interests, likes/dislikes, and future now so you can make sure you are preparing for the future that you want.
Success does not happen overnight.
Thinking about what you want to do as a career now, also gives you a lot of time to explore many different options.

For the 2025-26 school year, Gwinnett county will be using a new platform to deliver career lessons. In the past, 7th grade students took an assessment to identify possible career clusters of interest and explored different careers within those clusters.

Every year, GSMS counselors carefully plan and host a career fair to expose students to different careers. We invite members of our community to sign up to participate in the Career Fair.
