Grade 8: PSAT 

The PSAT for students in grade 8 will take place in-person at Gwinnett Online Campus on Tuesday, October 29 from 8:30 a.m. - Noon.

Grades 10 & 11: PSAT NMSQT

The PSAT NMSQT for students in grades 10 and 11 will take place in-person at Gwinnett Online Campus on Wednesday, October 30 from 8:30 a.m. - Noon.

Grades K-12: October School Counseling Lessons

Grades K-3 live counseling lessons will focus on the character trait, responsibility. Grades K-4 explored their first career cluster in a program called "Pathful Junior" this week. On Tuesday, October 22 students in 5th grade will have a suicide prevention lesson during their social studies class time.

Students in grades 6-8 will complete the Lures Lesson with our middle school counseling team.

Our students in 10th grade will participate in a College/Career Lesson, the Strengths Explorer. This activity will help students identify their natural talents and strengths.

Grades K-12: Virtual Parent Support Meeting

Parents, please join us on Monday, October 28 from 9-10 a.m. via zoom.  At the meeting you will have the opportunity to hear from other parents, counselors, the student engagement team, the intervention team and more about the ways you can support your student here at GOC.

Grades 10-12: Reminder Scholastic Images On-Site Campus Visit

As a reminder, Scholastic Images is scheduled to visit GOC tomorrow, Friday, October 18 from 11:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. to assist eligible students with ordering their Letter Jacket or additional patches/bars. Students who received a GOC qualification letter and voucher in the mail (outlining proof of lettering at Gwinnett Online Campus in academics, fine arts and/or leadership for the 2023-24 school year) may order a jacket by presenting their voucher to the on-campus representative. To place your order, you need:

Grades 8-12: Optional Student ID Badge

Student ID badges are not required at GOC this year. We will have a different check-in system in place for activities while on campus. However, if you need a picture ID for another purpose (such as for testing), below if the date for the final  opportunity this semester for you to sign-up to get your student picture ID.

Grades K-12: GOC Talent Show

Come enjoy an evening of performances showcasing our students in GOC's Annual Talent Show, scheduled for tonight, Thursday, October 17 at 6:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.  Seating is limited, so please RSVP for this event by clicking HERE.

Grades K-12: Service at GOC

On Thursday, October 17, please bring new or gently used shoe donations to the Talent Show for the Talent Shoe Drive to benefit Soles for Souls. Students can earn service hours for their donations. 

Please click HERE to access GOC's service log. Please bring your service log with you at all times so we can confirm your service hours. This form should be used to track all hours both inside and outside of Gwinnett Online Campus.

Grade 6: Junior Achievement (JA) BizTown Visit

This year, 6th grade students have the exciting opportunity to participate in the Junior Achievement (JA) BizTown program on Friday, November 15.

As part of the program, our students get to participate in a no cost field trip to Junior Achievement’s Discovery Center at Gwinnett. This is an experiential learning lab where the students will receive hands-on, real-world interactions with personal finance skills.

The BizTown permission form can be picked up at the front desk at GOC, can be printed from your child's social studies courses or found HERE. This form must be signed and returned to the GOC front desk no later than Monday, October 28

The bus will leave school on Friday, November 15 at 9:30 a.m. and return at approximately 3:00 p.m. Please plan on dropping your child off at GOC no later than 9:00 a.m. so we can get an accurate headcount. In the afternoon, please have your child picked up promptly at 3:00 p.m.

Grades 9-12: Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

Students in grades 9-12 will have the opportunity to celebrate and learn about Hispanic Heritage Month during their grade level GOC Friday scheduled for Friday, October 18. 

This session will be held in the Auditorium.

GOC Friday Leadership Development is scheduled for Friday, October 18. This meeting will focus on Leadership Development during our GOC Friday activity for students in grades 9-12.  Please click HERE to RSVP for this event.

Grades 6-12: Grow Your Leadership with Student Council

On Thursday, November 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (please note date correction), our team will be heading to the District 1 Conference at the John Maxwell Leadership Center. The cost is $50 which includes a t-shirt and lunch. Please register on the student's MyPaymentsPlus account by the deadline of Friday, October 18. Spots are limited so register as soon as possible. Once we hit our maximum number, registration will close. Members of Student Council in grades 6-12 are expected to attend. If you need a scholarship for the conference, please reach to Dr. Kyle Johnson as soon as possible.

Last but not least, our big leadership trip this year will be to Rock Eagle for the GASC State Convention from Thursday, February 20 through Saturday, February 22. All student leaders in grades 6-12 in good standing should plan to attend. Please save the date and stay tuned for registration information coming soon.

Grades K-8: Fall Social - Sign Up Today!

Please join us for some Fall Fun with friends at our annual Fall Social scheduled for Friday, October 25. You can now register for the fall social on the students MyPaymentsPlus account.

High School students have the Homecoming Dance as their fall activity but students in grades 9-12 may sign up to volunteer at this event by contacting Ms. Hope Campbell. Student volunteers in grades 9-12 who wish to participate in the Food Truck, you must register on the students MyPaymentsPlus account for a reduced cost.

Grade 12: GOC PAC Senior Skate Night

When the sun goes down on Tuesday, October 29, join PAC at Sparkles for a Senior Class Skate Night from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. 

Seniors show your class of 2025 spirit and pack the rink with your ghoulish friends and family. There will be prizes for the most creative GOC spirit wear and non-scary, skate-safe costumes!  This is a great chance to celebrate our seniors and the spooky season together! 

All GOC students are welcome, but especially our spooky seniors!  Mention you're with GOC for special prices on admission and skates, laser tag, and pizza combos. PAC hopes to see you there! 

Grades K-12: Parent Advisory Committee Events

PAC (Parent Advisory Committee) would love for you to connect with us via our GOC PAC Parent Site. Our events calendar is updated through Fall, and you can RSVP and get more details for PAC meets, Sparkles, the POW WOW and more. 

Calling All Parents!!  We need your help at the Fall Social on Friday, October 25. Please email PAC as soon as possible if you are able to sign-up to volunteer. We are also in need of more prizes for the Fall Social and other upcoming events. To donate, please sign-up HERE so we can plan accordingly. If you have not brought in your items, please do so ASAP.
