The Creekland Middle School Honor Eagle Winds is the premier wind literature performance ensemble at Creekland Middle School. Comprising the program’s most dedicated and advanced student musicians, the ensemble meets once a week before school at 8:00 AM, demonstrating an exceptional commitment to musical growth and teamwork. The Honor Eagle Winds focuses on high-level musicianship and challenging core repertoire, culminating in their annual performance at the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE). Driven by a culture of student leadership and artistic excellence, the ensemble proudly serves as a flagship ambassador for the Creekland band community.
Students start their instruments in 6th grade but for the 2026-2027 school year, they will have the opportunity to begin in 7th Grade also. These classes focus on the fundamentals of music reading and instrument playing. No experience is necessary to join!
The 7th and 8th Grade Concert Bands are the continuation of band after beginning band. These groups are separated by grade level and perform at the Fall/Winter and Spring Concerts. Students are automatically placed in 7th or 8th Grade Band after Beginning Band.
The Screamin' Eagle Pep Band is the heart and soul of the Creekland Boys and Girls Basketball Teams. Students rehearse pep tunes in class and will perform them afterschool either at Creekland or at Collins Hill to cheer on their fellow Eagles!
