The Creekland Middle School band program is comprised of approximately 250 students. Beginning in sixth grade, students participate in a diverse array of ensembles, including four concert bands, several small ensembles, a jazz band, and the Honor Eagle Winds. Consisting of auditioned seventh and eighth-grade students, the Honor Eagle Winds represents the pinnacle of the program's dedication to instrumental excellence.
Fine arts thrive at Creekland, with over 75% of the student body enrolled in band, chorus, or orchestra. Creekland Band students consistently distinguish themselves at GMEA District and All-State events. The program boasts a rich history of accolades, including dozens of District 13 Honor Band selections, individual placements in the Georgia All-State Band, and over 100 students earning top marks at the Solo and Ensemble Festival.
On the performance stage, the program maintains a legacy of high achievement. The jazz and concert ensembles regularly excel at regional events like the Suwanee Night of Jazz and GMEA evaluations. The seventh and eighth-grade bands have earned a reputation for consistent superior performances at the GMEA District 13 Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE), recently earning straight superior ratings in 2026. Whether performing locally or at state evaluations, the program continues to live by its defining motto: “Dedication, Performance, Excellence.”
