The University of North Georgia – Gainesville campus is excited to host the 2026 Georgia High School Ceramic Arts Awards & Symposium!
Event date: Saturday, February 7th, 2025 – 8:30 am – 12:30 pm
Location: University of North Georgia, Gainesville Campus
Students AND teachers are invited to submit original works in clay to the 2025 GHSCAAS exhibition. UNG is proud to present a student exhibition in our John Amoss student gallery and a teacher exhibition in our Atrium gallery.
• Entry Deadline: Sunday, January 18 by 11:59 pm.
• Notification of accepted works: Wednesday, January 21
• Delivery of accepted works: Thursday, January 29 – Thursday, February 5
• Shipping of accepted works Must arrive by Thursday, February 5
• Symposium and Awards: Saturday, February 7
Create a single PDF file of 1-3 images of your ceramic work (11.17 inches, 72 dpi, under 5 GB). Name each image with first initial, full last name, submission number, and size of work (ex. T Smith 1 12x8x4) - Please take clear and quality pictures.

Important information about participation in Obvara or Raku or firings:
Students who plan to participate in either firing are responsible for:
· Bringing one piece of bisqueware that doesn’t exceed 6 inches in any dimension
· For Obvara firing, promptly loading your piece at 8:30 am.
· For Raku pieces only - Glazing the piece the morning of the symposium between 8:30-9:30 am.

I recommend using your phone editing if your are not great with computers. Phone cameras are so high tech now!
You will want to resize your images to fit the judges' viewing screens (large mac screens).
