Our students became researchers for a moment and worked on different renewable energy alternatives. To do this, they searched the internet using the school's laptops and created posters to present their ideas.

Reading is very important for development, which is why at our school we read every day in different subjects. Today, instead of reading in Spanish, our students developed their reading comprehension in English with the reading 'How much does it cost when a cow burps?'. A fun and interesting way to study science and practice reading and language, all in one.

Last week our students studied how a chemical reaction occurs according to the collisions' theory. They worked in pairs searching information on the internet and building a poster about it. Our language assistant, Edward, helped them with the translation to English.

To finish the first term, the students have created individual presentations on different elements of the Periodic Table. They were asked to incorporate bilingualism into part of their work, and Marina had the idea of asking some questions to her classmates about Tungsten, the element she was assigned. Would you be able to answer the questions Marina came up with? Do you know as much about tungsten as they do? Give it a try!

The boiling point of tungsten is 5,555°C (10,031°F). It's one of the highest boiling points of any metal.
The melting point of tungsten is 3,422°C (6,192°F). It's the highest melting point of any metal, which makes tungsten incredibly useful in high-temperature applications.
Sustanible Development Goals and Separation of Mixtures
Nowadays our Governments work in the lines of the 17 SDGs. When we learn about recycling processes, we are applying the scientific contents of mixture separation to the preservation of our environment, and also, work in a sustainable development.
Our students of 2º ESO made some scientific posters working about this topics.
Solution preparation of Copper (II) sulphate in the laboratory - 2º ESO
Preparation of homemade soap from recycled oil - 2º ESO
The Movement - Giving directions in Torremolinos and Seattle
Posters about the chemical industry in Spain (2ºESO A/B)
Presentations about different environmental issues (2º ESO C/D/E/F)
