Touring and Tasting in Nocera Inferiore

En febrero de 2025, trece estudiantes de 3º de ESO del IES Rodrigo Caro participaron en una movilidad Erasmus+ en Nocera Inferiore (Italia). Durante una semana, exploraron la gastronomía mediterránea, compartieron tradiciones con familias italianas y participaron en talleres, visitas culturales y actividades prácticas que vincularon patrimonio, alimentación saludable y sostenibilidad. Al ser el inglés la lengua oficial del proyecto, el alumnado puso en práctica sus competencias lingüísticas en un contexto real, utilizándolo como herramienta para estrechar lazos entre culturas y profundizar en los valores comunes europeos.

In February 2025, thirteen 3rd-year ESO students from IES Rodrigo Caro took part in an Erasmus+ mobility in Nocera Inferiore (Italy). Over the course of a week, they explored Mediterranean gastronomy, shared traditions with Italian host families, and engaged in workshops, cultural visits, and hands-on activities connecting heritage, healthy eating, and sustainability. As English was the official language of the project, students applied their language skills in real contexts, using it as a tool to strengthen cultural ties and deepen their understanding of shared European values.

Touring and Tasting Actividades

Las actividades desarrolladas durante esta movilidad Erasmus+ en Nocera Inferiore se han diseñado para ofrecer al alumnado experiencias prácticas y enriquecedoras, integrando el patrimonio cultural, la gastronomía mediterránea y el aprendizaje colaborativo en un contexto internacional. Todas ellas se han orientado a alcanzar los siguientes objetivos:

Touring and Tasting Activities

The activities carried out during this Erasmus+ mobility in Nocera Inferiore were designed to provide students with practical and enriching experiences, integrating cultural heritage, Mediterranean gastronomy, and collaborative learning in an international context. All of them were aimed at achieving the following objectives:

🟠Promote the use of English as the working language in real contexts.

🟠Explore Mediterranean culinary traditions.

🟠Encourage healthy and sustainable eating habits.

🟠Develop advanced digital skills.

🟠Strengthen collaboration and teamwork.

🟠Foster reflection on European identity.

🟠Enhance skills such as autonomy, problem-solving, organisation, and task management.

Actividad 1

Acogida e intercambio cultural con familias

La llegada a Nocera Inferiore comenzó con un acto de bienvenida en el que las familias anfitrionas y el alumnado se reunieron por primera vez. Tras la recepción conjunta, cada participante almorzó con su familia italiana, dando inicio a una semana de inmersión cultural, convivencia y práctica del inglés en un entorno real.

Welcoming and Cultural Exchange with Families

The arrival in Nocera Inferiore began with a welcoming event where host families and students met for the first time. Following the joint reception, each participant enjoyed lunch with their Italian family, marking the start of a week of cultural immersion, shared experiences, and English practice in a real-life environment.

Paseo guiado por estudiantes italianos visitando lugares emblemáticos y aprendiendo sobre el patrimonio histórico y cultural de la ciudad.

Evaluación Final

La evaluación final del proyecto Erasmus+ en Nocera Inferiore confirmó el pleno cumplimiento de los objetivos planteados. El alumnado mejoró sus competencias lingüísticas, amplió su conocimiento sobre la gastronomía mediterránea y fortaleció su conciencia europea a través de la convivencia intercultural y las experiencias compartidas. Además, esta positiva valoración permitió dar continuidad a la colaboración iniciada, impulsando un nuevo proyecto en el que, dos meses después, en abril, recibimos en Coria del Río a un grupo de estudiantes italianos. Esta segunda movilidad, desarrollada en nuestro centro, ofreció la oportunidad de explorar las mismas temáticas desde la perspectiva única que brinda nuestra localidad y su entorno en la provincia de Sevilla, enriqueciendo aún más el vínculo educativo y cultural entre ambas comunidades escolares.

The final evaluation of the Erasmus+ project in Nocera Inferiore confirmed that all objectives were successfully achieved. Students enhanced their language skills, deepened their knowledge of Mediterranean gastronomy, and strengthened their European awareness through intercultural exchange and shared experiences. Furthermore, this positive assessment enabled the continuation of the collaboration, leading to a new project in which, two months later, in April, we welcomed a group of Italian students to Coria del Río. This second mobility, hosted at our school, offered the opportunity to explore the same themes from the unique perspective of our town and its surroundings in the province of Seville, further enriching the educational and cultural ties between both school communities.
